Michigan Department of Education

The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) entered into a collaborative agreement with the International Association for Continuing Education and Training, IACET (www.iacet.org), whereby CEUs obtained via an approvedIACET Authorized Providerare eligible for conversion to SB-CEUs through an application process initiated by an approved SB-CEU sponsor.

Upon completion of theIACET Authorized Provider-sponsored training, the participant must submit to the SB-CEU coordinator the transcript/certificate of completion, and the training brochure, issued by theIACET Authorized Providerwhich confers the awarding of the IACET CEU. The SB-CEUs sponsor then submits an application for approval for the conversion from IACET CEUs to SB-CEUs. The number of SB-CEUs converted shall not be less than the minimum (0.3 SB-CEUs) or the maximum (9.0) allowed for program approval as established by the SB-CEU criteria/guidelines. After approval is granted, the SB-CEU sponsor uploads the individual's information into the SCR, which will generate the online evaluation procedure.

When the individual completes the online evaluation, the SCR will award the SB-CEUs to the individual's account.

Participants should check with their state licensing agency for training documentation requirements. Most states require a copy of the certificate of attendance. Social Workers, Therapists and Counselors
Many state and national Social Worker, Therapist and Counselor Boards accept NAADAC accreditation (see NAADAC accreditation information above). Contact your regulatory board to determine course approval for continuing education credit; it is the responsibility of the registrant to ensure this course meets your CE requirements prior to registration.

National Association of Social Workers (NASW)

Approval # 886480326 (Live webinars approved; On-Demand Archived Webinars are approved on a case by case basis; Conferences and other trainings are approved on a case by case basis.

Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB)
NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals, #1754, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals maintains responsibility for its courses. ACE provider approval period: 01/12/2021 – 01/12/2022. Indication of ASWB approval will be provided on each webinar's individual webpage. If the webpage does not have an ASWB approval statement, then that webinar is not approved for ASWB ACE hours.
